De Revit Gebruikergroep organiseert in samenwerking met buildingSmart Benelux op 9 November de eerste Revit & Ifc Gebruikersdag. Voor deze dag hebben we de volgende sprekers bereid gevonden om hun ervaringen met het gebruik van IFC met jullie te delen.

Paul Akhurst – Smart WorkPlace
Paul Akhurst ia a facility manager and researcher from Australia, who has recently moved to the Netherlands. Paul led the introduction of BIM to Sydney Opera House and has recently completed a reserch project on asset management and BIM, at Curtin University’s Sustainable Built Environment National Research Centre in Perth, Australia.
To BIM4fm or not to BIM4fm?
How can BIM models be integrated with CAFM? Is COBie the answer? A challenge for facility mangers is to integrate BIM with existing asset management data. Paul will talk about his experience introducing BIM at Sydney Opera House and his subsequent research into innovation and implemeting BIM in Australia.

| Alexander Worp (1971) over 20 years of experience in real estate sector. From supervising construction to Project manager of complex renovation projects in city centers. Now working for Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AAS) at Asset Management for almost 7 years as Strategic Advisor Asset Management. For the past 4 years working on implementing Building Information Management (BIM) at AAS. Vice Chairman of the board of buildingSMART Benelux since June 2017. Started the user group Airport Room in 2016 as part of the BuildingSMART international organization, because of the believe that the open standard (IFC, BCF etc.) will help user to work more efficient and effective at Asset Management Schiphol. More successful asset management is only possible through collaboration with all stakeholders throughout the entire lifecycle. by exchanging structured data (open data standards) that can be validated and verified. | Angel Velez is a Senior Principal Engineer at Autodesk, Inc. In 1992, he graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with BS degrees in computer science and mathematics, and he graduated from Stanford University with a master’s degree in computer science in 1994. After working in the mechanical CAD industry for 5 years, he joined Charles River Software in 1999 to work on a project that eventually became known as Revit. Since 2004, Angel has been working primarily on connected workflows and interoperability issues, concentrating on Industry Foundation Classes IFC. For the last 3 years, Angel has been the team leader of the Revit “Protractors” team, which concentrates on connected workflows and Revit core geometry. | Jeffrey Truijens is een van de initiatiefnemers van de BIM basis ILS en momenteel voorzitter. Verder werkt Jeffrey als Informatie & procescoördinator bij Dura Vermeer, waar hij zich bezig houdt met het standaardiseren van processen en implementeren van nieuwe werkwijzen t.g.v. thema’s als BIM, System Engineering en verdere digitalisering. | Ik (Jeroen Koomen) ben sinds 2011 werkzaam bij JP van Eesteren (TBI) als BIM regisseur. Naast de begeleiding van projecten (o.a Markthal Rotterdam en Triodos bank) houd ik mij bezig met implementatie van BIM binnen JP. Daarnaast ben ik o.a. intensief betrokken bij de totstandkoming en verdere ontwikkeling van de BIM Basis ILS. |

| Martijn has a degree in building engineering. As from 2004 he worked on a great variety of BIM projects. First as a BIM engineer, later also as a BIM Consultant on BIM Implementation projects. Martijn helped over twenty-five companies implementing BIM workflows and worked as an external BIM Manager on large and complex projects. Martijn has a history of standard development and a longstanding interest in Open BIM and Open Data workflows. He is co-author of the Dutch Revit Standards, and seats in the Technical Committee for the Revit Standards Foundation. Martijn has been Chairman for buildingSMART Benelux since 2015, wrote several publications on IFC workflows and has spoken at multiple conferences on the practical implementation of IFC workflows. | Born in Austria too long ago to remember, Martin graduated as an Architect from Technical University Graz, Austria in 1987 and practiced in Austria, Germany and Brazil through 1999. At that time he joined Autodesk briefly, then moved to the fledgling Revit Technology Corporation in 2001, before getting reabsorbed by Autodesk with its purchase of Revit the following year. He worked as a product designer and product manager on Revit in multiple geographies including both Japan and Australia, before joining a new technologies based architectural and consulting practice in the Netherlands in 2007, LivingRoomCraftz (www.livingroomcraftz.com). Martin has spoken at numerous conferences including RTC, is an author, blogger whose deep technical expertise in many of the most complex BIM tools has him in high demand throughout Europe and the rest of the world.” | Mathijs Natrop is eigenaar van Solidu, bouw en advies. Solidu is gespecialiseerd in virtueel bouwen en houdt zich voornamelijk bezig met BIM op de bouwplaats. Dit is de praktijkkant met engineering en uitvoering, gericht op de realisatie in werkelijkheid, uiteraard met behulp van BIM. | Mr. Sullivan is a Global Business Development Manager for AEC at Autodesk. His team assists government project owners and commercial clients in the transition to Building Information Modeling processes and methods. Mr. Sullivan sits on the Building Smart International (BSI) Strategic Alliance Council, working with BSI leaders on interoperability issues. Mr. Sullivan manages connections with Building Smart national chapters and has been working interoperability issues for over 20 years. | Jon Mirtschin received his Bachelor of Engineering/Science from the University of Melbourne, Australia. He worked for Connell Wagner and Expedition Engineering (London) before starting Geometry Gym Pty Ltd. Geometry Gym develops BIM software tools specifically for Model Exchange using OpenBIM standards such as IFC. These are primarily in the form of plugins for applications such as Revit, Rhino, Grasshopper, Tekla and various Structural Analysis applications. | Ik ben Marco Geurts en werkzaam bij ingenieursbureau Verhoeven en Leenders. Ik heb mijn HBO afstudeeropdracht gedaan bij ingenieursbureau Verhoeven en Leenders over verbetering van de ketensamenwerking tussen constructieve partijen in het open BIM proces. Als vervolgstudie volg ik de Master Structural Engineering in deeltijd. | Mark is van oorsprong een bouwkundig ingenieur en architect in die hoedanigheid werkte hij als BIM-Manager voor het architectenbureau cepezed. Momenteel is Mark de Vice-voorzitter van de Revit Gebruikersgroep. Mark is een van de oorspronkelijke auteurs van de NLRS en is momenteel de voorzitter van de Stichting Revit Standards. Met zijn huidige bedrijf Bimforce werkt hij als informatie specialist en focust hij zich vooral op complexe data vraagstukken in BIM, ook houdt hij zich intensief bezig met het controleren en oplossen van problemen met Revit & IFC. Maar is hij ook druk met het ontwikkelen van nieuwe manieren om IFC te kunnen inzetten over de lifecycle van een gebouw. |

| Dr. Stefan Boeykens is an architect-engineer, with a PhD on BIM and the design process at KU Leuven, where he continues to teach. He is senior BIM Manager at D-Studio, a BIM development and consultancy company.
